Sigma Sigma Sigma, commonly referred to as Tri Sigma and Sigma, is one of the 26 sororities that make up the National Panhellenic Conference. Chapters of Tri Sigma place a large emphasis on sisterhood. The sorority strives to provide exceptional experiences that empower women to change the world through following their five values: faith, love, hope, power, and wisdom. The values of the sorority can be seen in their sisterhood, the bonds members have formed with one another, and the way the organization interacts with their community.

The sorority was founded on April 20, 1898 at Longwood College in Farmville, Virginia!
What is Sigma Sigma Sigma's Philanthropy?
The March of Dimes is Tri Sigma’s national philanthropic partner. Tri Sigma has partnered with the March of Dimes for over 60 years in a partnership known as Sigmas Serving Children. Since the beginning of the partnership, Tri Sigma has donated over $3 million dollars to help fund research and prevention of polio. Through supporting this cause, thousands of families with a newborn in intensive care were provided comfort and education through the NICU Family Support and millions of parents as well as health professionals have been able to improve babies’ health.
Another main focus of Tri Sigma’s philanthropic efforts is the Sigma Sigma Sigma Foundation. The foundation supports programs that align with the sorority’s five main values and raises funds for leadership training for women. The foundation helps to support the sorority’s partnership with the March of Dimes through Sigma Serves Children. These grants help hospitals create life-enhancing therapeutic play and child life programs as well as other necessary facilities across the country.

Tri Sigma's are most well known at the University of Missouri, Western Illinois University, Kent State University, and Elon University.
